How do I participate in a zApp or book?

Participating in a zApp or book is as easy as it is fun!

zApp

• Opening a zApp
  • Click ‘Open zApp’ from within its expanded view.
  • You will enter participation mode, where you will see the zApp instruction (if there is one) before continuing onto the zApp content.

• Answering Questions
  • To complete a question, select or write your answer and click ‘Submit Answer’.
  • If a zApp was created and assigned to you with hints included, you will see a ‘Hint’ button. Use this to receive a tip about answering the question.
  • If you are unsure about an answer and want to come back to the question at a later time, click the ‘Skip’ button.
  • To quickly navigate between questions within a zApp, use the list of questions on the left hand side of your participation window.
  • After clicking ‘Submit Answer’, you will receive instant feedback about whether your answer was correct, partially correct, or incorrect. If incorrect, you will also see an explanation of the correct response, if the zApp was created and assigned to you with explanations included.
  • If you do not receive instant feedback, this is because a zApp has been assigned to you with the feedback option set to “After Completion of zApp” or “After Teacher Review”.
     
• Completing a zApp
  • Click ‘Submit zApp’.
    • zApps assigned with the feedback option ‘After Each Question or ‘After Completion of zApp’ will now open to a results screen, where you will receive feedback for each question.
    • zApps assigned with the feedback option ‘After Teacher Review’ will be sent to the teacher who assigned it and you will then be notified when your results are released.
  • Click ‘Exit zApp’ to return to your sQuizya dashboard.

Book

• Opening a Book
  • Click on the book to open the expanded view. You will see a list of zApps that have been assigned to you from the Book. Select which zApp you want to do, or which one is currently open for you to complete and click ‘Open zApp’.
  • You can continue to work though a book in this manner until completed.
     
• Answering Questions

• Completing a Book
  • A book is complete once all the component zApps within it that are available for you to participate have been completed.
  • As each component zApp is submitted independently, there is no need to submit the book as a whole.
